Heads Up!

A close and trusted associate of McCartney Multimedia Inc. who has been in the super high-end domain business and worked with ICANN for over a decade, has the availability and know-how to be able to navigate through the complicated bidding process on the ownership of the incredible domain name internet.com, which will be in a closed bidding system through March 22.

It is expected to fetch between 40 and $60 million, lmk if you are interested in owning the domain and the approximately 260,000 unique visitors per day. It’s like the Super Bowl commercial spot eyeball count that keeps on giving 24/7.
In context, Money.com just sold for $20 million because it is a limited vertical, whereas internet.com covers absolutely everything so please shoot me back an email if you are interested in a serious bid for this once in a lifetime digital property and I will make the necessary introductions.

Cheers,

A unique event is coming to H-town this month—Bubbles and Baubles. You’ll mingle with chefs from around the world and sample their delicious creations, all while sipping on French champagne and enjoying bites of caviar. (BTW, I’m told there will be lots of caviar.)

If it already sounds amazing, it gets even better. The setting for the beautiful evening on Friday, August 16th is the Houston Museum of Natural Science inside the Cullen Hall of Gems and Minerals and the McFerrin Fabergé Collection.

The event will be filmed for an upcoming documentary produced by Paul McCartney’s sister, Ruth McCartney that will also include festivities the following evening — Around the World in 10,000 Bites. By purchasing a ticket you will be agreeing to be filmed. Attendance is limited and the tickets are available at $250 per person. You can purchase them here.

Around The World in 10,000 Bites

THE 10,000 BITES EVENT - AUGUST 17TH

The idea for this event started about five years ago after speaking to some of my restaurant guests about the best meals they enjoyed in different countries. I was amazed at the number of people who had not traveled much outside the United States or who did not have a good appreciation for different cultures and cuisines. While I have been very fortunate to have travelled to 6 of the 7 continents (still need to visit Antartica) over the last 30 years, I recognized the opportunity to create something that was both gastronomically unique and educational.

The idea of serving enough different bites from enough countries for the guest to actually recognize and appreciate the similarities and differences quickly flourished into an action plan and then a test dinner with 20 bites from four countries served to 80 guests at the World Food Championship in 2016. We prepped for a week and served 1600 courses with 7 chefs in about 2 hours without the use of a restaurant kitchen. To say we learned a lot from that event is a dramatic under statement! The success of that dinner lead to this once-in-a-lifetime culinary event where each guest will journey across 10 countries highlighting both the cultural and gastronomic uniqueness related to the common meal.

This event would not be possible without the help of Chef David Duarte who also saw the vision and quickly jumped on board to make it a reality, and the help and passion of all our invited chefs this year. One of the first chefs to say yes was my friend Dominique Crenn. As you may know she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and unfortunately will not be able to make the event this year. We will be donating a portion of the proceeds in her name for breast cancer research. The remaining proceeds will be donated to the James Beard Foundation.

My hope is that you emerge from this journey with a much richer understanding of different cultures and cuisines and a greater appreciation for what makes us all unique and wonderful.

McCartney Studios will be filming this unique event. Stay tuned to this page for updates.

Farrah Fawcett Foundation (PSA with Alana Stewart for A&E)

IMG_3578.jpg

McCartney Studios shot a PSA with Alana Stewart on behalf of the Farrah Fawcett Foudation for the A&E channel. Directed by Deven Parmar. It was featured during the airing of:

"Biography: Farrah Fawcett Forever" is a celebration of the life of actress Farrah Fawcett 10 years after her tragic death on June 25, 2009. Fawcett is an American icon whose influence on pop culture has been underestimated. Fawcett shocked the industry when she walked away from guaranteed success as a television sex symbol, and instead pursued roles against type in serious movies like "The Burning Bed" and "Extremities." Farrah continued to defy expectations becoming a sculptor and showing it was possible to be sexy at 50. Until the end, she lived life on her own terms, documenting her most important and impactful moment as she fearlessly battled cancer in a very public and moving way.
